10 Years of Green Teens Recycling: A Decade of Making a Difference

Ten years ago, Green Teens Recycling started with one simple goal: make recycling easier for our community.

In 2016, we launched with just five customers. We never imagined how much our community would embrace the idea of convenient curbside recycling. Every new customer, every referral, and every recycling bin set out on collection day helped us grow into what Green Teens is today.

As we celebrate our 10-year anniversary, we're taking a look back at some of the milestones that helped shape our journey.

2016 – It All Began

Green Teens Recycling officially launched with five customers who believed in our mission of making recycling simple and accessible.

2018 – Our First News Story

Our mission began reaching more people when Green Teens was featured in its first local news article, helping spread awareness about the importance of recycling in our community.

2019 – Sharing Our Knowledge

We published our first blog post, giving customers recycling tips, environmental news, and ways to make a bigger impact at home.

2020-2021 – Growing Our Service Area

As more families wanted curbside recycling, we expanded into Verdigris, Collinsville, and Oologah, allowing even more households to recycle conveniently.

2021 – Electronics Recycling

Keeping electronics out of landfills became easier with the addition of our electronics recycling program, giving customers a responsible way to dispose of old devices.

2022 – Junk Removal Services

Our customers needed help with more than recycling, so we introduced junk removal services to make decluttering easier while keeping reusable materials out of the landfill whenever possible.

2024 – Helping Local Businesses Recycle

Green Teens expanded beyond residential service by offering commercial recycling programs for local businesses, helping companies reduce waste and recycle more efficiently.

2025 – Introducing Textile Recycling

Old clothes, shoes, and household textiles gained a second life with the launch of our textile recycling program, keeping even more materials out of the landfill.

2026 – Celebrating Ten Years!

Today we're proud to celebrate 10 incredible years serving our community.

What started with five customers has grown into a company serving thousands of homes and businesses across Northeast Oklahoma. Along the way we've added new services, expanded into new communities, and stayed committed to making recycling as simple as possible.

But none of this would have happened without you!
